Routine and Advanced Surgery
At Maryland Ave Pet Hospital, our on-site laboratory support is critical.
Pre-anesthetic blood work is completed to evaluate the pet's internal organ function. Blood work is tailored to
the type of procedure being performed, your pet's age, health status, and breed.
Modern anesthetic drugs and quality surgical equipment are used to minimize risks associated with anesthesia.
Routine surgeries are performed daily and include:
- Dog Spays
- Dog Neuters
- Cat Spays
- Cat Neuters
Advanced surgeries offered, that are recommended by the doctor include:
All surgical procedures require the pet to be a minimum of 16 weeks of age, and be current on Distemper and Rabies vaccines. We also require that all new pets have a basic exam prior to any surgical procedures. Vaccines can be completed during this consultation exam, if your pet is not current on their vaccines.
Please withhold any food or treats from your pet after 10:00 p.m. the night before your pet's procedure (water is fine).
